Hélène Rousseau wins Andrée Gagnon Award from the Collège Québécois des Médecins de Famille

Hélène Rousseau, physician at the Department of Family Medicine who practices at the CLSC Côte-des-Neiges, the Maison Bleue and at the Jewish General Hospital, wins the “Andrée Gnagnon” award from the Collège Québécois des Médecins de Famille (CQMF). This award is presented in tribute to Dr. Andrée Gagnon, a recognized champion in the world of perinatal care in Quebec.

Hélène Rousseau is a clinician-teacher renowned for her humanism, commitment and passion for perinatal care. With positive energy, she attends almost all her patients' deliveries, whatever the time of day or night. In addition to being a dedicated and respected teacher of residents and rural communities, she regularly participates in humanitarian missions to train midwives in developing countries, including Ecuador, Haiti and Rwanda. In addition, she is one of the founding physicians of Maison Bleue, a non-profit CLSC Côte-des-Neiges project offering prenatal care to socially vulnerable pregnant women.
