My research focuses on reducing 1) health inequities affecting Indigenous patients with advanced chronic kidney disease and 2) quality improvement initiatives to improve care of chronic dialysis patients.
1. Identifying barriers to home dialysis among James Bay Cree patients in Quebec: This is a mixed-methods study with a cross-sectional survey and qualitative interviews.
2. Co-creation of a culturally appropriate multifaceted intervention to increase home dialysis among James Bay Cree communities in Quebec: This is a collaborative qualitative study aiming at creating home dialysis educational tools for patients and healthcare providers in James Bay Cree communities.
3. Optimizing care of chronic hemodialysis patients through quality improvement initiatives: a multiphase QI study aiming to improve comprehensive care of new dialysis starts, reducing time to listing for transplant and improving cardiovascular parameters.
