Karen Diop
Biography: 

Karen Diop is the Associate Director, Black Inclusion, Success and Strategic Initiatives in the Office of the Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic). She is the principal lead with all academic and administrative leaders across McGill (including Faculty deans and chairs of departments) on all initiatives tied to the Plan to Address Anti-Black Racism at McGill. In particular, she advises and collaborates with all leaders to develop Faculty/unit-specific plans, strategies, and protocols that challenge anti-Black racism.  

She has international experience in qualitative research and programming on gender and international migration issues. For the past eight years, she has worked on vulnerability assessment and policy in Europe, West Africa, and Canada. Her interests include decolonial practices and policymaking. Her qualifications include a BSc in Economics and Political Science (University of Montreal, CAN), a post-graduate diploma in Management (HEC Montreal, CAN), and an MSc in Leadership and Development (King’s College London, UK).
