Maryam Oskoui
Dr. Maryam Oskoui is a pediatric neurologist and Associate Professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Neurology and Neurosurgery. She is a recipient of a Clinical Research Scholar Junior 2 award from the FRQ-S. Dr. Oskoui serves as an evidence-based methodologist for the American Academy of Neurology’s Guideline Development Subcommittee. Dr Oskoui is a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee for Muscular Dystrophy Canada, chairs the Canadian Neuromuscular Disease Registry Spinal Muscular Atrophy Working Group and is an investigator in several clinical trials in pediatric neuromuscular disorders.
Dr. Oskoui’s overarching vision is to improve the lives of children and families with neuro-motor disorders. She is a clinician scientist with expertise in both spinal muscular atrophy and cerebral palsy with extensive experience in clinical trials and in patient registries. Dr Oskoui has contributed as a methodologist to numerous evidence-based clinical practice guidelines in neurology with the American Academy Of Neurology.
