Experts: Hydro-Québec unveils $3B wind farm project in Lower St. Lawrence

Hydro-Québec and L'Alliance de l'énergie de l'Est are partnering to develop a new wind farm in the Lower St. Lawrence region, aiming to generate up to 1,000 megawatts of power. This $3 billion project, announced on Wednesday, will span 700 square kilometres of public land, including parts of Kamouraska and Témiscouata. The Wolastoqiyik Wahsipekuk First Nation is among the project partners, contributing to this large-scale initiative as part of the growing demand for renewable energy.
