What is the CEGC Champions Program?

The aims to empower students to become catalysts for positive change. Developed by Engineering Deans Canada, the program the offers you the unique opportunity to demonstrate how you are tackling the following :

  1. Resilient infrastructure
  2. Access to affordable, reliable and sustainable energy
  3. Access to safe water in all communities
  4. Inclusive, safe, and sustainable cities
  5. Inclusive and sustainable industrialization
  6. Access to affordable and inclusive STEM education

The Faculty of Engineering has partnered with Engineering Deans Canada and universities across the country to help showcase your impactful work.

Each CEGC Champion will receive a badge to recognize this achievement and the chance to engage with like-minded engineering and design students at participating institutions, including Dalhousie University, McMaster University, University of Waterloo, University of Northern British Columbia and Western University.

How to participate

To participate in becoming a CEGC Champion, please complete the following 4 steps:

  1. Learn about the CEGCs via the and complete Modules 1-3
  2. Identify one CEGCs theme area and engage in your learning experiences related to it (curricular, co-curricular, extra-curricular, volunteer, co-op, research etc.)
  3. Describe your experiences and reflections on these learning experiences using the DEAL Framework in a short video following the 3M thesis format (e.g. 1 slide, 3 minutes long)
  4. Complete the webform below, uploading your video and presentation slide to the form

Eligibility

Any current McGill Faculty of Engineering undergraduate student can take part in the program.

March 31, 2025

Selection process and video publication

Submissions will be evaluated by the Faculty of Engineering and selected videos will be hosted below and in our CEGCs Champions Showcase.
