Plasma to Playground: The Role of Pedagogy Specialists in the Study of Children’s Physical Activity.


Abstract:

This seminar discussion will focus on defining the role of pedagogy specialists in public health research from a cross-disciplinary and translational perspective. Centered on the common characteristics of quality physical education programs and highly effective physical activity interventions, we will collectively identify the relationships worth fostering, thoughtfully consider how best to build partnerships and mutually beneficial collaborations, and debate grantspersonship strategies that will expand our present knowledge of the field at large. Moreover, this presentation will touch on the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to navigate the current academic landscape. Graduate students and early scholars would benefit from this discussion.
