Public Speaking Workshop
Thinking about pitching makes you nervous?
Would you like to get better at speaking in front of an audience?
The McGill Dobson Centre is presenting a workshop to help you captivate your audience and improve your speaking and presentation skills!
Most people judge competence by observing confidence. Presenters who read verbatim from boring PowerPoint slides are judged as having neither. Persuasion researcher Jay Olson, M.Sc., will cover the communication skills necessary to give an effective presentation.
Topics include handling nervousness, improving body language, and holding attention. These tools will help speakers engage and persuade their audiences.
The event is free of charge and open to both students and the general public, however, capacity is limited. Please to secure your spot!
