Virtual Dobson Day: Connecting startups and investors virtually

Last October 27 and 28, the Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship hosted the inauguralDobson Day in NY. In collaboration with the, this online startup touraimed to introduce and connect a select group of retail focusedDobson entrepreneurs tothe dynamic NYC ecosystem of investors.

Fourteen Dobson startups benefited from one-on-one coaching and mentoring, attendedShopTalkretail week where they engaged in meetings with potential clients, partners and investors, participated inTechDay, the largest startup event in the US and finally, pitched to a hundred potential investors and industry leaders during a two-day event. A panel of retail experts were on hand to help guide the conversation during these two days, giving insights into the NYC ecosystem and the opportunities that lie beyond Canadian borders.
