Fast Facts: -ÌýThe unit operates from 7:00am until 10:00pm from Monday to Friday -Ìý1000 items are processed each day -Ìý 2 full-time employees and 2 part-time employees ensure the smooth flow of instruments through the sterilisation process -Ìý The staff members have on average 15 years of hospital reprocessing experience -Ìý Sterilization is a four-step process:
- Instruments are inspected and pre-washed by hand
- instruments are washed in a Washer disinfector
- instruments are inspected and packaged
- instruments are sterilized in the SterilizersÌý
