Vice-Admiral Jerome Adams, the U.S. Surgeon General, has announced plans to develop a 2020 Surgeon General’s Report on Oral Health, following up on the last report that was produced in 2000. On November 26th, 2018, Surgeon General Adams held a 1 ½ day Listening Session to launch the report. An audience of about 170 individuals, representing different dental organizations and agencies, participated in the event. McGill’s Faculty of Dentistry Professor, Jocelyne Feine, was appointed as one of 6 section editors, and it is anticipated that many other experts will be involved at various stages of the development of this report.
