After a three-year absence, the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences has returned to visit its alumni in Western Canada! Cocktails were held in Vancouver on March 10, in Calgary on March 12, and in Edmonton on March 13. Those in attendance were excited to reconnect with fellow alumni and learn about faculty news and current research. Dean Elham Emami was delighted to be able to visit alumni across Canada again, stating that "staying connected has strengthened our sense of community and belonging, and the ties that bind us. The opportunity for our alumni to reconnect with their former classmates and feel inspired by their peers is immeasurable, and a benefit of belonging to this special community.â€
We are very grateful to members of the Faculty Advisory Board who held alumni gatherings to promote and strengthen ties with the Faculty. Dr. Kenneth and Susan Chow hosted a dinner in Vancouver on March 11, and Dr. Amir Mirzaei DDS'94 held a cocktail is his home in Ottawa on March 3. A special note of thanks to Jeremy Clark BSc’98 for hosting dinners in Calgary and Edmonton.
