François Vellas, PhD, is the President of the International Association of Universities of the Third Age (IAUTA). A leading authority in the global Third Age learning movement, Dr. Vellas focuses on how educational programs for seniors can enhance cognitive function and social engagement. With extensive experience in aging research and international collaboration, he is dedicated to advancing lifelong learning opportunities for older adults around the world.Ìý

Dr. Serge Gauthier

Dr. Serge Gauthier is the Academic Co-Lead of the Dementia Education Program and Professor Emeritus at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ. Specializing in Alzheimer’s disease, he has led major research initiatives and clinical trials to advance diagnosis and treatment. Recognized with the Order of Canada and the National Order of Québec, Dr. Gauthier's work has significantly impacted dementia research and care.

Lyne Landry

Lyne Landry is a partner at AgeTech Capital, a Montreal-based investment firm focused on technologies and projects that enhance the lives of seniors. She also serves on the board of the Aging in Place Challenge at the National Research Council, a program aimed at improving the quality of life for older adults living independently. Her work is dedicated to promoting innovation in senior care and support.

Ruth Pelletier

Ruth Pelletier is the founder of Seniors Action Quebec, an organization committed to promoting the health and vitality of English-speaking seniors in Quebec. With a background in broadcasting and consumer rights, Ruth has been a leading advocate for seniors’ issues, focusing on enhancing active living and community support for older adults. Her leadership has significantly impacted the lives of Quebec’s senior population.
