As we get ready to pause for a well-deserved break at year-end, I wish everyone a peaceful and restful holiday season. These past twelve months have been challenging for many, and yet, each of you has risen to the demands of the times. In the face of worldwide conflicts and pressures to divide us, we – learners, alumni, faculty, instructors, staff, and our friends – do our best to come together and support one another. We are united in our lifelong commitment to advancing education and knowledge.
This year, we also came together as a community to map out a strategic plan for the next five years. Building on extensive consultations, research, and collective insights, the School of Continuing Studies is working hard to finalize not just a set of five core commitments but also an action plan for 2025-2030. We look forward to completing the strategic planning exercise this coming winter and getting ready to roll up our sleeves to get the work ahead done. I am most grateful to everyone for your willingness to engage in this process. The School of Continuing Studies will be that much stronger because of your input and willingness to translate principled ideas into action.
In the face of uncertainty, we may not have all the answers all of the time, but we are always ready to take on a question or issue – no matter how tough – and give it our very best. Thank you for all you give to the School of Continuing Studies day in and day out!
Wishing you a peaceful holiday season and end of calendar year, and a very Happy New Year!
