He now makes technology for the ISS and occasionally lectures at McGill. He enjoys talking to people, science, and demos that involve lasers.

Danielle Vlaho completed her PhD in Nucleic Acid Chemistry at McGill in 2017. Since then, she has worked in the Department of Chemistry, where she spends most of her time as the laboratory instructor for McGill’s undergraduate Organic Chemistry courses. Danielle loves chemistry in all its forms – but especially when it comes to cooking and baking!

Maureen McKeague is an Assistant Professor in the departments of Chemistry and Pharmacology at McGill. HerÌýÌýis figuring out how chemistry and yeast can help cancer treatment. Maureen loves chemistry outreach because chemistry is part of our everyday life, no matter how you look at it. Her favourite experiment will always be making slime because it works, it's colourful, and anyone can do it!

Anne Labarre is a Master's student in medicinal chemistry. Her favourite demo is the elephant toothpaste, from which she always saves a bit for her elephant at home (but don't tell anyone). Apart from this, she enjoys swimming and reading.

Yichen Li is a Master's student in Microbiology and Immunology. She enjoys talking about science in general but joined Chemistry Outreach because she finds fire cooler than showing people Petri dishes. Outside of lab, she split her time between catering for her succulents, baking, watching 20 cars race in a circle, and crocheting not-so-useful things.

Natalia Muñoz is a PhD student in the Department of Chemistry at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ, working in the Auclair Lab on mechanoenzymology research. She is passionate about chemistry and enjoys sharing her love for science in fun and engaging ways, like making nitrogen ice cream demonstrations. Outside of the lab, Natalia loves spending time outdoors, baking, and crafting. She believes science is not only fascinating but can also be lots of fun!

Kadira Jones

Kadira Jones isÌýan undergraduate student from Jamaica pursuing a double major in Chemistry (Bioorganic) and Mathematics. Being a science enthusiast, I always look forward to learning something new and spreading my interests with others. My favourite aspect of chemistry has to be conducting experiments, especially ones with drastic colour changes.

Yuqin Xia is a PhD student in the Department of Chemistry, working in the Auclair Lab on plastic recycling. She is interested in all things related to green chemistry. She joined Chemistry Outreach because she enjoys showing chemistry experiments to the public and teaching chemistry to any people who is curious about it. Outside of lab, she likes planting vegetables or flowers, listening to pop music and spending a whole afternoon on the TV dramas!

Mathéo La Torre is a PhD student in the Lumb group working on quinone chemistry. He loves sharing his passion for chemistry and joined the Outreach group to convince people that it is like studying magic (don’t ask him how he knows!). Outside the lab he enjoys swimming, biking and cooking.
