㽶Ƶ's Desautels Faculty of Management has become the first Faculty to achieve Silver status in the Sustainable Workplace Certification program. Led by McGill's Office of Sustainability, the program encourages eco-friendly practices and a sustainability culture for departments and units across campus.
㽶Ƶ’s Desautels Faculty of Management is one of three Canadian institutions honoured by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business in its 2017 Innovations That Inspire list. All together, the accreditation body recognized 35 schools worldwide across three categories: Engagement Across Disciplines, Engagement with Business and Engaging a Diverse community.
On May 24-25, 2016, experts from the field of green (sustainable) chemistry gathered in Washington, DC, for a workshop on Sustainable Chemistry Technologies. The event was organized by the National Academy of Science’s Board on Chemical Sciences and Technology at the request of the United States General Accountability Office.

"Last week, Clément Joubert, pianist, former director of the McGill Conservatory and a 2015 McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA graduate, launched Men’s Seasons, a new range of skincare products designed for men, which meets the seasonally specific needs of the skin. The products are made in Quebec and sold online.
Launched in fall of 2014, Desautels’ new programming in Managing for Sustainability was designed for students who wish to combine managerial and business knowledge with a solid understanding of the interlinked economic, social, and ecological challenges of achieving sustainability. It integrates management studies with fundamentals of environmental science and sustainability and is offered in collaboration with its co-designers, the McGill School of Environment and the Department of Geography.
On March 17-18, 2016, Yalmaz Siddiqui, BCom '92 and Senior Director of Sustainability for Office Depot Inc. visited his alma mater to impart his knowledge and lessons learned through leading global sustainability efforts. Mr. Siddiqui spoke in several Desautels classes, providing insight on understanding the B2B Green Marketing and Purchasing Landscape to strategies for stakeholder engagement and community consultation when introducing sustainability into operations.
