Program brings together multidisciplinary teams with expertise in various areas of neurodegenerative disease

Researchers at The Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital) make up a large part of eight projects funded by ALS Canada and the Brain Canada Foundation as part of their 2020 Discovery Grant Program, which brings together multidisciplinary research teams with expertise in various areas of ALS and neurodegenerative diseases to investigate critical areas of disease processes and clinical care.

The Tenaquip Foundation donation will allow for faster drug development, better care for ALS patients

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge One Year Later

On November 19 2015, marking the anniversary of the announcement of the 2014 ALS Ice Bucket Challenge results and partnership between ALS Canada and Brain Canada, ALS Canada was at The Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital 鈥 The Neuro, to announce the final recipients of their 2015 grant competition. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as 鈥淟ou Gehrig鈥檚 Disease,鈥 is a devastating fatal disease of the nervous system that kills two to five Canadians every day. On September 19th and 20th, the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital (The Neuro), at 香蕉视频 and the 香蕉视频 Health Centre will host the 10th Annual ALS Symposium of the Fondation Andr茅-Delambre. Nearly one hundred researchers and clinicians from several countries will come together to discuss recent progress in ALS research.
