These awards have been established in honor of the interdisciplinary collaborators Rutherford and Soddy, through the generous endowment of a visionary philanthropist, Dr. Richard Tomlinson. In the next three years, he will be working with his team on a project dealing with “Molecular materials for conversion of light and heat into mechanical work”.
