Laurie Snider, erg., OT, PhD, Director and Associate Dean of the School of Physical & Occupational Therapy, has been named Quebec’s Outstanding Occupational Therapist of the Year by the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT-Qc) ! This award honours CAOT members living in Quebec who have made an outstanding contribution to the profession throughout their career. As a most deserving recipient for this honour, the CAOT Board of Directors is very pleased to acknowledge Professor Snider's exceptional contributions to occupational therapy.

This honour is in recognition of her exceptional contributions to education in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (School of Physical and Occupational Therapy). Dr. Spahija was honoured at the Faculty Honour List Symposium on June 10.

Canadian Physiotherapy Association's Centenary Medals of Distinction

Dr. Joyce Fung and Dr. Dorothy Thomas-Edding have been awarded a medal of distinction to celebrate 100th anniversary of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. The Canadian Physiotherapy Association's Centenary Medals of Distinction have been created to mark the Association's Centenary. The medal serves to recognize 100+ individuals who have impacted physiotherapy from 1920 to 2020. These medals were presented and the recipients recognized at the CPA's Congress 2021.
