Val Nesset, doctoral candidate in the School of Information Studies, was awarded third prize for the Best Doctoral Student Poster at the recent 2008 conference of ALISE (Association for Library and Information Science Education), held in Philadelphia. She was third in the competition comprising over 60 doctoral students.
