Survey indicates Canada behind other countries in newborn hearing screenings

The Canadian Newborn Hearing Screening Survey was conducted by Drs. Joseph Dort and David Brown of the University of Calgary to examine the current state of newborn hearing screenings in Canada. The results of this survey indicate that there are a large number of Canadian children whose hearing loss is missed at birth, and thus emphasize the urgent need for hearing screening programs in all Canadian hospitals.
