Sign up for the Law Student Scholarly Paper Workshop
Published: 31 January 2008
Each semester, McGill Law students write articles on a variety of pressing legal subjects within the law, running the gamut from international tribunals to complex transactions to family law. However, these articles reach only a specialized audience. Here is an opportunity to benefit from the cross-pollination that might result from a discussion of and comparison among papers drafted for different courses that have common themes, or that draw on common ideas. This workshop allows any interested student to present his or her work to other faculty members and students. Papers may be drawn from any area of scholarship being pursued by students enrolled at the faculty. Students who are interested in presenting their paper will be placed on a panel with three or four other students. Each student on the panel will be invited to discuss his or her paper for not more than 10 minutes. Interested students are invited to send an email to Professor Kim Brooks by February 22.
