MONTREAL - Canadiens forward Mathieu Darche
figures he's biased about the importance of education, especially
for young athletes who dream of playing a professional sport.
"I'm a believer in going to school," added the 35-year-old pro hockey veteran. "People have the choice to do whatever they want, of course, but for me and my kids, I want them to get as much education as possible, because that's how you keep more options open."
It's the message Darche has for students in the English Montreal and Lester B. Pearson Schools Boards as spokesperson for the McGill Hockey Stay in School Program.
