Resources for Labour Market Information and more
Looking for information on current labour market trends?
Statistics Canada's Perspectives on Labour and
Income for Summer 2009 is available now at the Career
Resource Centre in the Brown building. It provides current
information on the Canadian and U.S. labour markets and other
special reports, such as employment rates for the disabled.
According to the latest statistics, employment in the U.S. declined
steadily throughout 2008 while in Canada it increased, with losses
showing only in the final quarter. Other significant indicators
show that the Canadian labour market is healthier than the
U.S.'s.
