MONTREAL -- Forward Alexandre Picard-Hooper of the McGill men's hockey team is the De Facto Quebec university male athlete of the week for the period ending Oct. 17, 2010.

After the Patriotes tied the game at 2-2, Picard-Hooper assisted on what proved to be the winning goal, then scored his second marker to put the game out of reach at 5-2 with five minutes remaining. A graduate of College de Chicoutimi, he joined the Redmen in 2008 after playing for St. John in the QMJHL.
The female honoree this week was Concordia rugby player Jackie Tittley, who led Concordia to a 30-20 victory over McGill.
