New CIS logo unveiled

Published: 19 June 2009

OTTAWA -- Canadian Interuniversity Sport, the national governing body for varsity athletics, recently unveiled a new acronym-based logo, the first step in a global rebranding plan that will be implemented throughout the coming year.

McGill was one of the founding members of the modern-day CIS, which was originally launched as the CIAU in 1961, the first year that national championships were initiated in Canada.
