MUHC announced its qualified consortia for the Glen Campus PPP
Following a rigorous review of qualifications, the MUHC Board of Directors has approved two consortia to move forward in the MUHC’s selection process for a private-sector partner for its Glen Campus. They are Groupe immobilier santé McGill and Partenariat CUSM.
The next phase—the Request for Proposals— will take place in spring 2008. Between now and then, the two consortia will work closely with the MUHC and its professionals to develop a thorough understanding of the healthcare centre’s needs, expectations, budget and timeline.
”We remain focused on our objective of creating an environment where exemplary health care and science can thrive,” said Dr. Arthur T. Porter, MUHC Director General and CEO. “We expect these consortia to submit detailed proposals that reflect our functional and technical specifications as well as our commitment to innovation, healing design and sustainable best practices.”
On June 27, 2007, the MUHC launched the PPP process for the Glen Campus with the support of the Agence des partenariats public-privé du Québec. This announcement completes the first step in the procurement process towards the eventual signing of a PPP for the design, construction, financing and maintenance of the MUHC’s Glen Campus facilities, which will include The Montreal Children’s Hospital, an Adult Hospital, a comprehensive cancer centre, the Research Institute of the MUHC and other facilities. The Canadian Shriners Hospital will also be built on the Glen Campus, but is not included in the PPP.
