Published: 29 November 2011

The McGill Redmen football team received a $1.5-million gift on Wednesday, the largest donation to a sports team in the university’s history. Entrepreneur Robert B. Winsor, who graduated from McGill with a Bachelor of Engineering in 1962, and his wife, Susan, donated the money in establishing the Bob and Sue Winsor Redmen Football Program Endowment. The funds, which will be invested by the university, will support coaching, player recruitment and program development.
