MUHC treats victims from Elizabethtown bus accident
As of 11:00 hours, Wednesday, August 30, the Montreal General Hospital, one of two Montreal trauma centres, has admitted six patients involved in Monday's bus accident in Elizabethtown, New York. The sixth patient arrived yesterday evening with multiple fractures, but in a stable condition. The condition of each patient has significantly improved over the past 24 hours. The patient who was in critical condition yesterday is now considered serious but stable.
Dr. Tarek Razek, Trauma Program Director at the MUHC, will brief the media on the condition of these patients today outside the Emergency Service of the Montreal General Hospital on Avenue Des Pins at 15:00 hours.
