McGill rallies in playoff opener

Head coach Kelly Nobes wasn't among those surprised his McGill Redmen appeared to barely get by Ottawa in the opening game of their men's hockey OUA Eastern Conference best-of-three quarterfinal playoff series on Wednesday night.
"It's playoff hockey," Nobes said. "Teams tighten things up a little bit in the playoffs. It's when guys typically have their best games, and we ran into a team that did a pretty effective job against us. I expect they'll try to do the same against us in their barn in Game 2. For our part, we have to be ready."
