MONTREAL -- McGill place-kicker Austin Anderson of Canmore, Alta., has been selected as special teams player of the week by the Quebec University Football League for the period ending Oct. 4.

Anderson, a 20-year-old finance sophomore who earned CIS Academic All-Canadian honours last year, went 4-for-4 in field goals and nailed the game-winning 28-yarder in wet, slippery conditions, with just 41 seconds remaining as visiting McGill rallied to edge Bishop's 21-19 at Lennoxville, Saturday.

Anderson, the 5-foot-10, 162-pound son of former NFL legendary kicker Gary Anderson, accounted for 13 of McGill's 21 points. He was also successful from distances of 25, 23 and 43 yards.
