The sudden-death affair had initially been scheduled to be played at 11 am in PEPS Stadium but the venue was switched to la Séminaire St-François in Cap Rouge, Que., located about 30 minutes outside Quebec City as a result of an overnight storm that dumped some 10 centimetres of snow in the region.

The Rouge et Or try scorers were Mackenzie Stairs, Kathleen Keller, Catherine Carrier, Karen Paquin and Oniente Laflamme. Claudiane Renaud completed the scoring with one conversion.

"We we a little too young this year," said McGill head coach Vince deGrandpre. "Mandy Mongeon and Brianna Gibson, our primary captains are back and we only expect to lose three seniors to graduation -- Melanie Waring, Mandy Mongeon and Ciara Briscoe -- so we should have a more experinced team next season and I expect us to challenge for the league title."
