Inside the MBA: Leaving sunny Rio for McGill
I can't even begin to count the number of people who've asked my reasons to come to Canada, and most of them were more worried about the weather I left behind in Brazil. My answer: "If you want sunshine, you can always live in a shack in the middle of the desert. That doesn't mean you'll be happy."
...For me, choosing an MBA was less about shifting careers, but more about shifting geographies. And choosing a country like Canada - where you can get a work visa and stay after you graduate - was very important for the process of relocating.
The experience at McGill so far has been great! The classes have helped me develop an even stronger business foundation. I've been exposed to great professors, met and talked to amazing industry professionals, and better yet, I have had incredible opportunities to really take charge of my MBA experience, and even to give back by getting involved with clubs and other activities...
