Faculty of Arts Digital Humanities Graduate Research Award

Published: 12 May 2011

The Faculty of Arts seeks to make an award ($6,200) to an Arts graduate student with strong interests and expertise in Digital Humanities. The award holder will develop an online annotated DH bibliography.

The bibliographic work will provide the foundation for a series of grant proposals and will serve the work of a DH reading group at the Institute for the Public Life of Arts and Ideas (IPLAI). It is expected that the
award holder will also take part with faculty members in ongoing work on DH.

In addition to having expertise in DH, the award holder will be able to manage and organize material from different disciplines. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to work independently to deadlines. Experience in information management will be an asset.

The start date of the award is 15 June 2011. The award holder is expected to be resident in Montreal for the greater part of summer 2011 in order to coordinate work with Dr. Matthew Milner and the McGill
Digital Humanities Steering Committee.

By 25 May, applicants should forward a CV and a statement outlining their interests and expertise in
Digital Humanities to
