The Scholarships Committee of the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and the School of Dietetics and Human Nutrition is pleased to inform you that you have been awarded the James H. Cooper Memorial Scholarship

The Scholarship was established in 1999 by the late James H. (Jim) Cooper.  He taught and conducted research and development work related to machines for food production and instrumentation for agricultural research at Macdonald Campus from 1939 to 1972.  The scholarship is awarded to a student in any year of the bachelor degree program in the Department of Bioresource Engineering.  Preference is given to students who have a particular interest and capability in the design and development of machines, machine components or instrumentation.

To be eligible to receive this award, you must be registered as a full-time student at Macdonald for the academic year 2009-2010 (or 9 credits if this is your final semester); Scholarships are granted for distinguished academic standing in a minimum of 27 graded credits earned during the regular academic year.

Official recognition of your achievement will take place at the 2009 Scholastic Awards reception on Tuesday, October 20st at 4:00 p.m. in the Ceilidh.
