MONTREAL -- The Martlets tied Sherbrooke 2-2 at the Marie Victorin Soccer Centre on Saturday.

McGill led twice on goals by Rebecca Green and Michelle Colvin, who tallied her first career marker.

Ìý

"Colvin has earned more playing time and has shown good qualities as a midfielder," said McGill head coach Marc Mounicot. "She has a strong left foot and her goal, which was shot from 20 yards out was well struck and well placed."

Ìý

Green was dangerous throughout the game and had a chance to win the game in the dying minutes but the Sherbrooke 'keeper made another of many key saves.

Ìý

"For the most part, our performance was very positive today but we should have been more composed on their final goal. Overall we dominated the game, controlling the midfield. Bourque and Hoyte worked hard with Nussbaum and Colvin."

Ìý

"Right now everyone is working well and competing at a good level," said Mounicot. "We have to maintain that attitude for the second half of the indoor season."

Ìý

The Martlets are in first place after three games and will play Concordia next Sunday (4 pm) at the M. Victorin Centre.
