Colloquium on Diversity

The Department of Translation Studies will host a PhD Colloquium on Diversity in December 2006 in cooperation with Université de Paris 3-Sorbonne Nouvelle, the International Association for Media and Communication Research, the Centre de Recherche en Terminologie et Traduction (CRTT) de l'Université de Lyon 2 and the Centre de Recherche des Écoles de Coëtquidan (CREC Saint-Cyr). Intended to be a forum for scientific meetings and exchanges between doctoral students and researchers from both sides of the Atlantic, the Colloquium's main purpose is two-fold: on the one hand, to encourage exchanges between Quebec-based researchers and those in France on topics related to language and communication in French and other international languages, and on the other hand, to allow researchers to present an overview of their work in progress and to showcase the types of projects undertaken in their respective universities.

The Colloquium will focus on research in bilingual and multilingual communication. The call for papers may be found in French on the under "Colloques" and in English on the .
