As a leader for innovation, and one of the major actors in the community of Montreal, the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Health Centre is proud to present its new Café Scientifique For this event, we have teamed up with the Montreal Neurological Institute and the Douglas Mental Health University Institute to bring you a lively discussion on "Drugs: The good, the bad and the useful".

We invite you to discover and interact with three of our most brilliant researchers:

Dr. Mark Ware - Associate Medical Director, Pain Clinic, MUHC.
Dr. Alain Dagher - Researcher and Neurologist, McConnell Brain Imaging Centre, Movement Disorders Clinic, Montreal Neurological Institute.
Dr. Marco Leyton - Researcher, Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology and Neurosurgery, MUHC.

The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Rémi Quirion, Scientific Director of the Douglas Mental Health University Institute. He is also the Scientific Director of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research Institute of Neuroscience, Mental Health and Addiction.

The event will take place on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at
O Patro Vys, 356 Mont Royal East, starting at 6:00 pm. A short presentation will kick off the evening to highlight the work of the three panelists, who will then answer questions and address topics of interest during an informal discussion period.

The Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Health Centre (MUHC) is a comprehensive academic health institution with an international reputation for excellence in clinical programs, research and teaching. The MUHC is a merger of five teaching hospitals affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ--the Montreal Children's, Montreal General, Royal Victoria, and Montreal Neurological Hospitals, as well as the Montreal Chest Institute.
