Call for Applications: Faculty Lecturer in Canadian Literature

The Department of English seeks to appoint a Faculty Lecturer in Canadian Literature for 2011-12. Knowledge of and teaching ability in twentieth-century literature will be an asset. The Faculty Lecturer’s responsibilities will include a teaching assignment of four courses and supervision of Honours theses as needed. The period of appointment is 1 September 2011 to 30 April 2012. The stipend is $35,000.

Applications, consisting of a curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, and a writing sample (20-30 pages) must be sent by email by May 31 2011 to Paul Yachnin, Tomlinson Professor of Shakespeare Studies, Ï㽶ÊÓƵ at paul.yachnin [at] mcgill.ca. Please arrange for the three letters of reference to be sent to the same email address by the May 31 deadline. Candidates should ask referees to include the candidate’s name on the subject line of the email.
