ATHLETICS AND RECREATION ANNOUNCES NEW ON-LINE SERVICES

Published: 17 August 2009

Starting at end of August 2009, McGill students and staff will be able to purchase a select number of Athletics and Recreation services on-line. This convenient new registration system was made possible through the collaboration of several McGill administrative units all working toward the same goal – to make it quicker and easier to use our athletics and recreation services. The McGill community will be able to purchase memberships and fitness and recreation classes, book a court, personal training session or private lesson and register an intramural team anywhere the internet is available.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for students and staff to use the gym and be active,” said Drew Love, Executive Director of Athletics and Recreation. “We have some of the best athletic facilities in the country so it is only fitting that we now offer some of the best on-line services in the country.”

The service is available 24/7 with a help line open from 08h30-20h00 Monday through Friday. Answers to the most common questions have been compiled into an easy to read document titled the Top Ten Tips to Register On-Line which can be found on the Athletics and Recreation website. Stay tuned to this site to find out when you can log on to and look for the On-Line Services icon which will link you directly to the registration pages. Or, look for the same icon on the home page of the McGill portal (myMcGill).

As this system is new, we are happy to hear your comments and suggestions on how we can make the service better. We welcome all e-mails at onlineservices.athletics [at] mcgill.ca. Or, call in your comments to the help line at 514-398-7000.
