The McGill varsity sports program had one of their most successful campaigns in 2011-12, capturing seven league championships and qualifying a single-season school record 18 of their 28 teams to compete in various national championships. The other Top 3 finish went to the volleyball Martlets, which claimed their first-ever CIS medal with a bronze.
