June 26, 2020 - Start of City of Montreal project at McTavish Reservoir
Start of City of Montreal project at McTavish Reservoir: street closures as of week of June 29
The City of Montreal will launch a major construction project at the McTavish Reservoir the week of June 29, 2020. The project will last several years. For more information on the planned work and a map of the construction areas, see this announcement. (French version here).
Access to McGill buildings will be maintained at all times, for pedestrians, emergency vehicles, waste pickup, deliveries and reduced-mobility users. Portions of sidewalks may be closed at times, but pedestrians and reduced-mobility users will be redirected through temporary corridors as needed.
The following streets will be closed to vehicle traffic as of the week of June 29, until further notice. Signage on site will redirect drivers.
- Doctor-Penfield Ave., between Peel St. and Pine Ave. (except for local traffic)
- One lane on Pine Ave. will be used for eastbound traffic, between Peel St. and Doctor-Penfield Ave.
- McTavish St., between Doctor-Penfield and Pine Ave. (except for local traffic)
The 107 and 144 STM bus routes will be modified as indicated in this map.
The University will work closely with the City throughout the project to minimize disruptions to the McGill community and to keep students, faculty and staff informed.
