The Royal Commission on the future of health care's Forum on Pharmacare
Monday, September 9, 2002 19:00to21:00
Leacock Building
855 rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montreal, QC, H3A 2T7, CA
Prescription drugs play an important role in improving the quality of health care, but access and affordability are not ensured. This forum will look at three issues in particular: 1) the creation of a national pharmacare program; 2) the rising cost of drugs; and 3) streamlining the regulatory approval process for new drugs. Six local experts will briefly comment on these questions to initiate the debate, inviting audience participation afterwards. Part of a Canada-wide series of fora on health care held by the Royal Commission. Please note that panel discussion will take place principally in French; however, the audience is welcome to comment in either English or French. Seating is limited to 150 persons
