Movie Afternoons: The Spirit of Annie Mae

A tribute to Annie Mae Pictou-Aquash, a Nova Scotia Mi'kmaw who was involved in the events at Wounded Knee, South Dakota, in the '70s, and whose death is still unsolved. The film documents her participation in the American Indian Movement (AIM) and tries to unravel the cause of her murder. Includes interviews with activists Buffy Ste. Marie and Minnie Two Shoes. The director, Catherine Anne Martin, will speak at 4 pm. All welcome! Free admission
