Montreal Museums Day @ the Redpath

Sunday, May 31, 2009 10:00to17:00
Redpath Museum 859 rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montreal, QC, H3A 0C4, CA

For the last 20 years the Redpath Museum has thrown its doors wide open on the last Sunday in May so thousands of Montrealers can explore and appreciate the wonder and excitement of natural history and ethnology. Along with viewing the exhibits visitors can also participate in a variety of free public activities suchas making a fossil replica with plaster, or dissecting an owl pellet to identify the bones found in it. Special presentations allow visitors to learn about the museum's star attractions, the Albertosaurus, Dromeosaurus, and the newest dino in the group, Sara, the teenage ceratopsian. Weather permitting visitors can gaze at the sun in security with a solar telescope, guided by the members of the Royal Astronomical Society.

Free, everyone welcome. No reservation necessary.
