Lecture: Professor Peter F. McNally on the work of Robert Reid
The McGill Library is pleased to present a lecture in conjunction with the ongoing exhibition of the work of innovative designer, Robert R. Reid.Â
Professor Peter F. McNally, Director of the History of McGill Project worked closely with Robert Reid in the 1970s in developing a course on Book History, based on the holdings of the William Colgate History of Printing Collection. He will discuss Reid's work and its incredible impact.Â
The exhibition itself includes over 20 of Robert Reid's book designs and a selection from more than 250 pieces of job printing viewable on a Touch Table. It also features more than 50 samples of new graphic designs from Reid’s current work as Digital Experimental Typographer. Learn more about the exhibition by clicking here.
