We invite you to Professor Fabien Gélinas' Inaugural Lecture as holder of the Sir William C. Macdonald Chair.

Abstract

The growing role that adjudication plays in global governance today raises difficult questions about the sources and legitimacy of the norms it purports to expound. This lecture will take stock of known approaches to these questions and explore the potential of adjudication as a form of governance capable of generating rule-of-law legitimacy in transnational relations.

A cocktail reception will follow.
