Educational Objectives:
1. To understand the relationship between BP and risk for renal
disease progression in diabetics
2. To appreciate the benefits of both lower BP and RAAS blockade in
preventing progression of diabetic renal disease
3. To understand that the data from many clinical trials is
somewhat limited due to the short duration of follow-up and
decreased underlying risk for progression
