AstroMcGill presents the 27th Public Astro Night, with a public lecture by Prof. René Doyon. He is a professor at the Université de Montréal working in the field of astronomical instrumentation, and in particular applied to the detection of planets outside our Solar System. His public lecture is entitled: "The quest for life outside the Solar System". The lecture will be followed by night sky observations (weather permitting) and a tour of an experimental astrophysics laboratory. This event is intended for a general audience, and it is free of charge. No reservation is necessary. Snacks and refreshments will be served (please bring your own cup).
The event will be held at the McGill Rutherford Physics Building, starting at 7:00pm.
