Neuropalliative Interdisciplinary Rounds - Supportive and Palliative Care Consult Service: Who are we and how can we help
Our upcoming Neuro Palliative Interdisciplinary Rounds will take place at 12 noon on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 in the de Grandpré Communications Centre (The Neuro 3801 University Street).
Susanne Bless, RN, BscN, Palliative Care Consult Nurse at the Montreal Neurological Hospital will deliver the talk entitled: "Supportive and Palliative Care Consult Service: Who are we and how can we help".

The Neuro Palliative Interdisciplinary Rounds was established in 2009. Lunch time talks are given by internal and external speakers about stimulating, reflective and thought provoking subjects surrounding Palliative Care. These talks are focused towards nurses and physicians, students and others in the health care profession with the goal to support ongoing education in the palliative care practice.
A variety of topics are covered such as neurosurgeons perspective, benefits of music therapy, working therapeutically with angry patients & families, symptom management, designing end-of life conversations and caring for caregivers to name a few. Talks take place monthly at 12:00 noon at the Neuro. A light lunch is offered.
